These high
school students and adults know of the unparalleled and predominantly negative
influence that Hollywood has on society. They also know that no amount of
protesting or boycotting has ever or will ever change Hollywood - that if
it’s going to change, it will have to change from the inside out. And they
also know that
God is calling them
to be the people He will use to make a difference in changing Hollywood for
the better!
The fact
is, Hollywood will only change when the people in it change. And how is
that going to happen? Your favorite celebrities will not become Christians
because of your wishful thinking. Writers and directors will not
consistently produce screenplays and films with Christian values just
because someone complains and tells them that they should.
Hollywood will only change as God’s Spirit moves in the lives of the people
there who are media decision-makers and cultural influencers.
So God has
been raising up an army of
prayer warriors
to pray for Hollywood and to support the Christian missionaries there who
are working with and among these people. Not only that, but God is calling
many young people to the front lines of the Hollywood mission field to be
the
salt and light
that Hollywood desperately needs. Many students are right now being called
by God to accomplish this important work - as future actors, directors,
writers, producers, film crew, or whatever else God has gifted them to be
and become!

Hollywood Club, we have made a commitment to partner with God in this
tremendous work of
“Preparing the Next Generation to Transform Hollywood”.
We emphasize:
LEARNING
about the Hollywood mission field - its significance, its unique challenges,
its worldviews;
GROWING
in the grace and knowledge of our own Christian faith and learning how to
effectively communicate it to others;
DEVELOPING
a lifestyle of regular, committed prayer for Hollywood in all its aspects;
and
PREPARING
future missionaries to Hollywood by providing them practical instruction and
information related to colleges and careers in the entertainment industry.
